How To Setup WireGuard on macOS

Follow these simple steps to get connected quickly and securely.

Install WireGuard

  • Download and install WireGuard for macOS from the official website: https://www.wireguard.com/install/
  • Alternatively, if you have Homebrew installed, you can run: brew install --cask wireguard

Access VPN Panel

Create WireGuard Configuration

  • In the WireGuard section, click "Add WireGuard Config" or similar button to create a new configuration.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the configuration creation.
  • Once created, click "Download Config" to download the WireGuard configuration file (.conf).

Import Configuration to macOS

  • Save the downloaded .conf file to your macOS computer (e.g., Downloads folder).
  • Open the WireGuard application on your Mac.
  • Click on "Import tunnel(s) from file" or drag and drop the .conf file into the WireGuard window.
  • The tunnel will be added to your WireGuard interface.

Connect to WorldVPN

  • In the WireGuard application, locate the tunnel you just imported.
  • Click the "Activate" button next to the tunnel name to establish the VPN connection.
  • The tunnel status should change to "Active" and you'll see connection details.

Verify Connection

  • Once connected, the WireGuard application will show the tunnel as "Active" with data transfer statistics.
  • You may also see a VPN icon in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
  • To disconnect, click "Deactivate" in the WireGuard app.
